Bob DeMaria — Administrator
Bob DeMaria joined Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehab Center, as the new Administrator, in 2010. Bob brings more than 35 years of experience as a licensed nursing home administrator to his role. During this time, he was named Assisted Living Administrator of the Year by the Virginia Health Care Association and served on their Board of Directors. Bob received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Economics from Providence College.
Bonnie Coulter, RN — Director Of Nursing
Bonnie Coulter joined the team at Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehab Center in 1992. Before being promoted to Director of Nursing, she was assistant Director of Nursing, MDS Coordinator and Staff Nurse. Bonnie’s past experience includes working in home care, acute rehab, and hospice. She received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from George Mason University.
Isa Kamara, RN — Assistant Director Of Nursing
Isa Kamara was hired in 2006 at Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehab Center as a part-time LPN. While working, she attended Global Health College and received her RN Associate Degree. Isa was then promoted to a full-time Unit Manager and worked on the post-acute, skilled nursing section of the Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehab Center. In December, 2014, Isa was promoted to Assistant Director of Nursing. She also brings to the team a wealth of knowledge and experience in behavior modification in the geriatric population.
Carl Powell, CTRS — Activities Director
Carl is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist with over 20 years’ experience in the healthcare industry. This includes 15 years as a Therapist and 10 years working in the Mental Health field as a Psychiatric Therapeutic Recreation Specialist. Carl has worked in both Assisted Living and Nursing home settings. He received his degree from Jackson State University, Mississippi. He joined the MVNRC team in 2015.
Lendy Bethel — Director of Social Services
Lendy Bethel is a Licensed Social Worker who joined the Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehab Center Team in 2006. She brings with her several years of experience working with patients and family members in a Long Term Care nursing home setting. Lendy received her Bachelor of Social Work degree from West Virginia State University.
Eileen Spinella — Director of Marketing and Admissions
Eileen Spinella joined the Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehab Center Team in 2010. She has over 20 years of experience helping healthcare organizations implement and improve their sales activities, as well as facilitate the marketing and business development efforts. Eileen has worked in several facets of senior care including, nursing homes, home health care, assisted living, and hospice. She received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration from Columbia Union College.
Constance Borges — Director Of Environmental Management Services
Constance began her career as a housekeeper at Washington Adventist Hospital in 2012. She was promoted to Supervisor after 3 years with Sodexo Housekeeping while at Washington Adventist Hospital. She is a new member of the MVNRC Team, hired in September, 2015.
Charles Seay — Maintenance Director
Charles Seay has been an integral part of the Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehab Center Team since 1985. Prior to joining Mt. Vernon Nursing and Rehab Center , he held the position of Assistant Chief Engineer at several hotel chains in the Northern Virginia area. Charles is a member of the National Engineer Power Association and has received several certifications in his field.
Kristen Moore, M.S., CCC-SLP — Rehab Program Manager
Kristen Moore became the Mt Vernon Nursing and Rehab Center’s Rehab Program Manager in September 2012. She has spent over five years working in Long Term Care in Rehab settings as a Speech Therapist and Director. Kristen received a Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from the Pennsylvania State University and Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology from Towson University. She is a Licensed Speech Language Pathologist in Virginia and Maryland, and has received a Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
Rosalind Dantzler — Food Service Director
Rosalind Dantzler joined the Mt. Vernon Nursing & Rehab Center team in 2011. She manages the Dining Services Department. Rosalind received her Bachelors of Science in Food Service and Institutional Management with a Certification in Nutritional Food Services from the University of Maryland.
