Bob DeMariaAdministrator

  • BS Economics, Providence College
  • Licensed Nursing Home Administrator

A native of Providence, RI, Bob has lived in the Washington Metro since 1966. He began his healthcare career at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. He has been a licensed nursing home administrator for 38 years during which time he was named Assisted Living Administrator of the Year by the Virginia Health Care Association. He has also served on the Board of Directors of VHCA. Bob loves the Delaware beaches, where he can be found most summer weekends.

Nancy A Chila, RN Director of Nursing Services

  • Registered Nurse

Nancy is a native New Yorker. She moved to Vienna, Virginia in 1996 with her husband and their 3 daughters.  She began her nursing career as a Certified Nursing Assistant in a nursing facility while in college. Nancy has been a nurse for 32 years and recently returned to long term care as Director of Nursing for a CCRC. Prior to joining MVNRC, she worked as a clinical consultant for several nursing facilities. When not at work, Nancy enjoys traveling with her family.

Bonnie Coulter, RN - Assistant Director of Nursing

  • Registered Nurse

Bonnie is a native Virginian.  She began her nursing career as a nursing unit secretary and has worked in several different settings, including home care, hospice, acute rehab, and long term care.  Bonnie has been with MVNRC since 1992.  She is married and has 2 daughters.  When not working, Bonnie enjoys watching her daughter’s soccer games and spending time with her Chihuahuas.

Janice Crosby, RNMDS Coordinator

Janice received her nursing training at NOVA and has been with MVNRC 13 years. Janice’s husband is a retired Naval officer and she has two married sons.

Heather Whyte, RNMDS Coordinator

  • B.A.  Government, Beloit College
  • BSN  George Mason University

Heather joined MVNRC in 2011 as the MDS Coordinator for long term care.  She moved to Washington,  D.C. over 20 years ago to work in a New York Congressional Office.  In 2004, Heather earned her BSN and provided nursing care at Georgetown University Hospital and a continuing care retirement community in McLean, Va.  She is married to Gregg, a talented drummer, and they have a daughter, Cassidy, who loves to dance.

Lendy Bethel, LSWDirector of Social Services

  • Licensed Social Worker

Lendy is a native of Charleston, WV, and is married to a retired Army officer. Of their many Army postings, their favorite was Fairbanks, Alaska. The Bethels have one daughter and a Cardigan Welsh Corgi named Quincy. Lendy is a devoted shopper.

Margo Brewster-Harris, MSWSocial Worker

Margo was born at Georgetown Hospital in Washington, DC and grew up in Fairfax County, Va.  She has a background in the psychiatric and social work field.  Margo has worked as a hospital case manager and Director of Admissions for MVNRC.  Currently, Margo is the social worker for the long term care residents. She enjoys working in her yard, playing video games and walks with her husband and their dogs, Sophie and Buckley.

Eileen Spinella – Director of Marketing and Admissions

  • BS Business Administration, Columbia Union College

Eileen was born and raised in New York.  She has over 20 years of  experience helping healthcare organizations develop, implement and improve sales, marketing and business development.  Eileen has worked in several facets of senior care including, home health care, assisted living, and hospice.  When she is not working, Eileen is engaged in outside activities including, hiking with her dog, Karma.

Gretchen Kemp – Admissions Coordinator

  • A.B.  Theology and Biology, Georgetown University

Gretchen is a Washington, DC native who lives in Arlington, Va.  Her interest in the elderly began over 20 years ago when she volunteered in a nursing home.  Gretchen joined MVNRC in June, 2011 and prior to this, she worked at a CCRC in an admissions/marketing capacity for over 7 years.  Gretchen, along with her siblings, is involved in caring for her elderly parents.  She is an avid reader and is active in her church.

Marcia SaffellSenior Accountant

  • BS  Mathematics, San Diego State University
  • University of Virginia, Certificate Accounting Program

Marcia has been with MVNRC since 1988. She is responsible for everything associated with the business office. When Marica is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her grandchildren.

Angela Webb – Human Resource and Payroll Manager

  • BS  Computer Information Systems, Strayer University

Angela is a native of Washington, DC.  She has more than 20 years of experience in the field of human resources, specifically in the healthcare industry.  She has been recognized by USA Today and the Notary Association for her commitment to hard work.  Angela is a member of the American Payroll Association and the American Society for Healthcare Human Resource Administration.

Natalie RuybalActivities Director

  • BA  Psychology, West Virginia University
  • NCCAP,  Nationally Certified as an Activities Director

Natalie was born in Virginia to a military family and moved to Germany until she was 4.  They  returned to Virginia where she currently resides.  Natalie has worked with seniors for the past 6 years. She is a member of both the Va. Association of Activity Professionals and the Northern Va. Association of Activity Professionals.  In her spare time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and playing with her toy poodle, Gretchen.  She is an avid Redskins & Mountaineers fan.

Chelsea Brown – Assistant Activity Director

  • BS Therapeutic Recreation, Radford University
  • Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist

Chelsea was born in the Philadelphia area and attended Radford University. She studied Therapeutic Recreation and gained experience working with children with special needs.  When Chelsea is not working, she volunteers for the Northern Va. Therapeutic Riding Program, assisting with hippo-therapy, speech therapy, and riding lessons. She is an avid Philly sports fan.
